TRE® (Tension and Trauma Release Exercises) was developed by Dr. David Berceli, Ph.D., as a powerful tool to help the body release deep patterns of stress, tension, and trauma.
This self-empowering method uses a series of simple exercises to safely reactivate the body’s natural shaking or tremoring mechanism. Once engaged, this mechanism allows the body to release stored stress and tension, calm the nervous system, and restore balance and relaxation throughout muscles and tissues.
TRE® is a powerful tool for stress reduction. On the right, you can watch the official video demonstrating the seven TRE® warm-up exercises.
Block Therapy is a unique fascia release practice that combines diaphragmatic breathing, proper posture, and the use of a therapeutic tool called the Block Buddy. This work helps melt through adhesions in the fascia, improve circulation, and support structural alignment and healing.
Founded by Deanna Hansen, the Block Therapy system grew out of her original technique, Fluid Isometrics, and has helped thousands of people reconnect with their bodies through this gentle, guided process.
For the individual session, the first session is about 60 – 75 minutes. I will give you a brief introduction to TRE and guide you through the process step by step. Throughout the session, I will hold the safe space for you and let you tremor for 5 to 15 minutes to release whatever tension and stress is ready to be expelled in the session. You will learn some self-regulation exercises to help you stay grounded so that you will be able to practice at home in between our sessions.
This is a 1.5-hour in-person group class. It will involve practicing the TRE® exercises and learning self-regulation and grounding to modulate your experience of neurogenic tremors for maximum benefit.
