TRE®

TRE® stands for Tension and Trauma Release Exercises and was created by Dr. David Berceli, Ph.  TRE® is a powerful stress-reduction tool to effectively assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension, and trauma.

TRE® is designed to be a self-empowering technique by using a series of simple yet innovative exercises to safely re-are-activate the body’s natural shaking or tremoring mechanism. 

Once the shaking mechanism is turned on again, we can use it in a safe and regulated environment to continue releasing stored and built stress, unresolved tension, and trauma from the body’s muscles and tissue, calming down the nervous system and thus restoring the body to natural balance.

Block Therapy

 Block Therapy is a unique self-care technique that is a Therapy, Exercise, and Meditation practice designed to address the limitations and restrictions in the fascia caused by various factors such as aging, injury, and surgery. As students engage in this unique therapeutic practice, they utilize a specialized tool to apply body weight, utilize gravity, and incorporate diaphragmatic breathing. The combination of these elements creates a profound heating effect that helps melt through restrictions, enhance blood circulation, and improve oxygen flow throughout the body.

TRE is a natural way to improve the quality of your life. It assists the body in balancing the autonomic nervous system. TRE has the potential to help with digestive issues, sleep disturbances, fatigue, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and so much more. Investing in yourself is easy with TRE because once you learn the basic exercises, grounding and self-regulation you can do them on your own for the rest of your life! I offer sessions in person in Toronto or via Zoom. Workshops can be tailored to an organization's needs.

For the individual session, the first session is about 60 – 75 minutes. I will give you a brief introduction to TRE and guide you through the process step by step. Throughout the session, I will hold the safe space for you and let you tremor for 5 to 15 minutes to release whatever tension and stress is ready to be expelled in the session. You will learn some self-regulation exercises to help you stay grounded so that you will be able to practice at home in between our sessions.

This is a 1.5-hour in-person group class. It will involve practicing the TRE® exercises and learning self-regulation and grounding to modulate your experience of neurogenic tremors for maximum benefit.
