BT stands for Block Therapy and is designed to melt through restrictions in fascia tissue caused by aging, injury, and surgery. The student lies over a therapeutic tool called the Block Buddy.
The combination of body weight, gravity, and diaphragmatic breathing creates a heating effect that melts through restrictions, improving blood and oxygen flow to cells.
Pain is your roadmap to freedom and fascia decompression is the missing link to health and healing.
The first step to eliminating pain is to understand your fascia.
Deanna Hansen, a Certified Athletic Therapist from Winnipeg, Canada, is the founder of Block Therapy and Fluid Isometrics. In 1995, Deanna embarked on her career as an Athletic Therapist, primarily focusing on deep tissue work. With her adept hands, she cultivated a prosperous practice, renowned for effectively targeting and resolving deep tissue knots. However, despite the flourishing nature of her business, Deanna faced challenges in maintaining her physical health and mental well-being.
By the year 2000, Deanna found herself battling depression and experiencing bouts of anxiety. In a moment of intuition during one of her anxiety attacks, she instinctively pressed her hand against her abdomen and immediately felt alleviated. Recognizing the potential of this discovery, she promptly integrated it into her existing treatment methods, yielding remarkable and instantaneous results. Inspired to extend the benefits to a wider audience, she developed a self-help technique utilizing a therapeutic tool called the “Block Buddy.” Thus, Block Therapy was born.
Block Therapy is a comprehensive self-care technique that encompasses exercise, therapy, and meditation, all aimed at reviving and rejuvenating stressed bodily tissues. Deanna translated her hands-on treatment approach into a practice accessible to individuals through the utilization of the Block Buddy.
Pain is a signal that your cells need attention. It is how they communicate that their needs aren’t being met. The body knows what the cells need at any given moment and responds to those calls by sending oxygen and nutrients into the blood. However, if you have a bunch of roadblocks in the way, the nutrients can’t reach the cell, which makes them scream louder.
Your fascia is the communication highway between every cell. If the roadways are open and clear, there is an immediate response to a call and the body knows what to do. The challenge arises when the fascia compresses. Gravity, injury, surgery, unconscious posture, and incorrect breathing are the main reasons adhesions develop in the fascia which ultimately wind the body down. All issues in the body are largely impacted and result from compression.
The great news is …
You can decompress your fascia. Once you understand this, all issues in the body can be transformed into a healthier and more aligned version. When your cells are positioned in the right place – there is nothing blocking the flow. When they migrate away from proper alignment, the body develops adhesions to create stability. It is a protective mechanism built into the fascia’s intelligence, but unfortunately, this blocks the flow.
This affects everything. Pain, aging, disease, unhealthy size and shape, depression, sleep issues… cells not aligned don’t receive what they need to thrive. BT is designed to undo this negative cycle of compression and re-establish balance and harmony in your body.
Fascia is the tissue connecting every single one of our 100 trillion cells. It surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fiber, and muscle in place.
Creating space in the body and melting through restrictions in the tissue is important for correcting posture and improving blood and oxygen flow to the cells, keeping them fed and clean.
Instruction of proper diaphragmatic breathing turns on the internal furnace optimizing the melting of adhesions in the tissue. In fact, diaphragmatic breathing increases oxygenation in tissue up to 6 times.
Understanding how to use your body properly and strengthen correct foundation is crucial to maintaining proper cellular alignment. BT addresses this to give you a full-body program and teaches you how to bring proper posture into daily activities.

Beauty comes from the inside out. When looking to bring the youthful glow back to your face, it’s not about what you put on the surface. It’s about the flow that runs through the fascia to feed your cells. As the fascia is the communication system between cells, ensuring that the tissue is fluid and spacious is key to maintaining and even reversing the ravages of time.
Adhesion is fascia develop as gravity, combined with incorrect posture and unconscious breathing pull the body from balance. This is the body’s way of creating stability. This is also what creates wrinkles, age spots and sagging of the tissue. Fortunately, this can be undone through releasing adhesions and strengthening postural foundations.
As you free the fascial patterns created with time by releasing them, the accumulated debris is replaced with oxygen that plumps the cells and gives them that youthful glow combined with strengthening the tongue and jaw. You support cells in proper alignment to tone and sculpt. In just 3 weeks, you will be amazed at your reflection in the mirror – a younger and healthier you, from the inside out!
We are living in interesting times. The advancements in technology have brought many gifts, but also tremendous challenges. One of the biggest concerns is the posture of the youth.
Today, kids are very different in their bodies compared to those of us who weren’t slouched over an electronic device through our formative years. The collapse has created a challenge to properly feed and heal their bodies, something that we need to address in order to give them the best opportunity for long and healthy life.
Many people believe scoliosis is an issue with the spine, but in reality, it is an issue with the fascia system.
The fascia is the connective tissue holding every single cell in your body together. Scar tissue from trauma or compression from incorrect posture is dense and sticky and will seal to bone with a 2000 pound per square inch force. This is what will torque and manipulate the body to twist out of alignment. As much as the spine is considered to be the issue with scoliosis, it is in fact the alignment of the entire body that needs to be addressed.
People’s struggle with scoliosis is unique and individual. Everyone grips and torques in their own way. This is why I have designed Scoliosis Gone to be flexible and interactive.
I golf with the same group of guys and in all three rounds I’ve had at least one of them comment on how well, how different I’m hitting the ball. The first thing I noticed is how free I felt… I haven’t hit the ball that far or straight in a long time.
~ Pierre
Lately I have bee hitting the ball very consistently and I am now scoring lower. I have shot two 79 scores in last week and I am walking and carrying my golf clubs. Feeling great. I tell all the fellows I play with that they should exercises and get on the block.

Cellulite isn’t caused from a certain level of body fat, it is caused from the grips of fascia on the bone causing the dimpling effect. You can be skinny or overweight and still have cellulite.
Block Therapy melts through the adhesions all the way to the bone improving the appearance
and health of your tissue.

After taking my first class, I bought my block on the spot. I suffer with neuropathy in my arms, hands and feet as a result of chemo. My neuropathy is now much improved.
